Payment plans and Finance options

We try to make it as easy as possible to access much needed care with us. For most chronic conditions your periodontist will let you know if you can defer care for 8-10 weeks. For more urgent cases we can assist with a payment plan. For more information please contact the practice directly.

We accept Q card.  

Q card offer a 12 month Payment Holiday/Interest Free term for procedures over $250*. Please ask for more information on this, or how to apply. 

* No payments and no interest for 12 months ("Payment Holiday") is available on Flexi Payment Plans (for in-store purchases only). Minimum spend $250. Annual Account Fee of $50 applies. New Cardholder fees - $55 Establishment ($3 PPSR - Q card only). Existing Cardholder Fee - $35 Advance. Standard Interest Rate, currently 25.99% p.a. applies to any outstanding balance at end of Payment Holiday. Lending criteria, fees, terms and conditions apply, Rates and fees correct as at date of publication, subject to change.

Non-attendance or late cancellations

Your appointment is reserved specifically for you. Please contact the practice as soon as possible if you wish to alter your appointment. We appreciate if you can give us 48 hours notice period. 

We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. However there will be a non-attendance fee after missing your third appointment without notifying us 48 hours in advance. For non-attendance or late cancellations associated with hygienist appointments, the non-attendance fee will be equivalent to the procedural fee.

Standby list

Should there be an issue with logistics, the standby list is available and we will do our best to find an appointment that will suit you.

Appointment reminders

We offer a courtesy reminder service via text messaging. Please let us know if you wish to be unsubscribed from the text message appointment reminder service. 

Clinical recall list

Your health records and contact details are private and confidential. The purpose of the recall list is to ensure that patients receive the appropriate care at the right time. Your information will not be forwarded to a third party nor will it be used for marketing purposes.

ACC documentation

It can take up to six weeks for ACC to process your prior approval. Please click here for more information about your ACC claim process and prior approval. ACC requires that we send the application as a single package, please send all information to info@periocare.co.nz.

Payments

We accept major credit card, eftpos and cash. We do not have accounts. A deposit of 50% of the procedural fee is required for larger procedures one week prior to the appointment. Similarly a deposit of 50% for procedures involving laboratory work is required upon acceptance of the treatment plan with the balance due on delivery of the laboratory item.

Confidentiality 

We abide to the laws and regulations as set out by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 and the New Zealand Dental Council. All patient records are private and confidential. It is important that your medical records are up to date with us so that we can provide periodontal care in a safe setting. We communicate on your behalf with your family dentist. Please notify us as soon as you can if you have a new dentist. Please speak to your hygienist or periodontist if you have questions regarding your patient records.
