Aftercare following periodontal procedures

Your periodontist will provide specific aftercare information for you.

In general:

Resume proper toothbrushing no later than 48 hours later, preferable no later than 24 hours later. Salt water mouth baths can be soothing.

If you had grafting procedures please contact us if you have any questions. The graft should not be disturbed for 2 weeks. 

If you had regenerative procedures please contact us if you have any questions. It is important that the healing tissues are not disturbed for approximately 6 weeks. 

Remember to arrange your aftercare healing checks and attend your follow up visits.
